This is the best way to enjoy this magnificent lake. The Sacred Lake for two main cultures: the Tiwanakans 1500 BC and the Incas. We start on a Bus from La Paz in order to get to the starting point by the lake.
Absolutely Off the Beaten Track! Walking around the lake is simply overwhelming and camping at one of its solitary beaches will blow out your minds.
You will also get the best views of the Lake as you will walk it on both sides.
Programme
1st day.- 07:30 pick up from the Hotel. Tourist bus to the starting point. 2 hrs
11:00 Once we are ready at the starting point we will start walking with the view of Lago Menor. On this day we will head to a beach near the strait called Tiquina.4 hrs walk
2nd day.- We will head to Tiquina strait in the morning and get there around midday . Tiquina Village is where we will have lunch to then in the
afternoon get to a beautiful isolated beach. Camping. 6 – 7 hrs. walk
3rd day.- In the morning you will have the change to see the two sides of the lake; as you may know the highest navigable lake in the world is divided in two sides: Lago Menor which belongs most of it to Bolivia, and Lago Mayor being most of it Peruvian.
The path and scenery will put you back in time easily, agricultural terraces from ancient times along with the deep blue of this Sacred Lake will give you the most impressive dusks and dawns of the Andean World. 6 – 7 hrs. walk
4th day- Now we will have our last 3hrs to Copacabana . We will get to Copacabana before midday so that you can catch the 13:30 Bus to Puno, the
13.30 Boat to Sun Island or the 13:30 bus to La Paz, if you want to stay in Copacabana our guide will help you finding a good place where you can stay.
*Times for departures, meals and activities may vary as they depend on different factors. The guide will tell the group every morning about the day programme.

AVAILABLE:
English Speaking guide or translator (additional 30 usd to be paid by the whole group, not per person) when ever we have one request for English Speaking guide or translator, the rest of the group will pay for it.
PORTERS, MULES, DONKEYS?
If you have more luggage than our weight limit (5 kg per person), you will have to hire another porter at an extra cost. 1 porter every two tourists
COOK?
Our guide is the cook at the same time
FOOD?
Big meals are breakfast and dinner. We provide massive sandwiches for lunch though.
LUGGAGE ?
-You must bring only what is needed for the 4 day trek in a 35 lt. bag pack. Your allowed to bring another bag (with 5 kilos). However for this trek we can send your big rucksack to Copacabana at the end of the trek. Our company organises delivery of your staff to Copacabana at no cost.
- If you want to bring all of your staff with you and need an extra porter, weight limit is 10kg per bag.
