Jungle / La Paz – Rurre by boat

For  those wanting to spend a bit of more time in the Rainforest. Still the most reliable way to get to Rurrenabaque doing a Tour.  This Jungle tour starts in La Paz and finishes in Rurrenabaque so that only Pampas can be done from Rurre because by the time you arrive in Rurre you will have already done a Jungle Tour. You will see the Rainforest first hand at its different stages.

Programme

1st day.-

05:00 to 05:30 Pick up from your Hotel in La Paz. (Please be punctual) (3 hrs drive)

08:00  pick up from Coroico. You have to be at 08.00 a.m. at Coroico’s main Plaza across from the Church. A transfer will be organised by us to take you from Coroico Plaza to the main road. Although, you must send us an e-mail to let us know where you will stay the night before, so that we can let you know about any change. Please have breakfast before “pick up”

 09:00 to 09:30 Departure from the main road (2½ hrs drive to next stop)

13:00 Lunch in Caranavi and drive to the Boat Starting Point  (2½ hrs drive).  During the beautiful trip, we’ll be surrounded by pristine Cloud Forest, Coca fields and fruit plantations

16:00 Arrival at the Boat Starting Point. Here you will meet your Jungle guide.

16:30 Departure from the Boat Starting Point. 1:30 hrs by boat down the River to the place where we will set up the campsite by the river banks. We will see the amazing upper section of the Rainforest on the way all the time.

(It takes 1½ to 2 hrs to the cook to have dinner ready after we arrive. Please be patient)

2nd day.-

08:30 On this day we will go further down the River  towards  Alto Beni River. The Jungle changes and it becomes more and more impressive (3hrs.) Camping by the river banks.

Lunch.  Walk in the Deep Rainforest. (3 hrs) We’ll be back late at the Campsite for dinner

3rd day.-

09:30 As we go further down on the boat (1 hr), the river gets wider and  we get to a point where we where we’ll set up the tents. Lunch. After lunch we will  (3 hrs) in the amazing lower Deep Rainforest, with giant trees and superb vegetation. 

Night walk in the Deep Rainforest after dinner.

4th day.-

We will go further downstream to a place from where we will have our last walk in the Deep Rainforest. By then you will have seen accurately the upper and lower sections of the Cloud Forest, the upper, intermediate and lower sections of the Rainforest. Believe it or not!  No other tour offers you the chance to see all the stages of the Jungle.   Late lunch on the boat.
16:00 to 17:00 Arrival in Rurrenabaque.

*Times for departures, meals and activities may vary as they depend on different factors. The guide will tell the group every morning about the day programme.

3 nights acc-camping, mattress (all equipment provided), private transport, boat, guide, cook, meals 3 B 4 L – 3 D, bottled water 2 lt. p/day-p/person,entrance fees to municipalities & parks.

NOT INCLUDED:

  • Sleeping bag, extra drinks, cigarettes, snacks, tips.
  • You can rent some items not included from our company.

AVAILABLE

English Speaking guide or translator, (additional 40 usd to be paid by the whole group, not per person) When ever we have one request for English Speaking guide or translator, the rest of the group will pay  for it.

FOOD?

First lunch is served in a restaurant on the way to the river. We basically provide scrambled eggs with tea, coffee or powdered milk and fruits for breakfast, meat and chicken dishes as well as pasta for lunch and dinner. Veggie option is available.

LUGGAGE ?

You can bring your entire luggage as we have plenty of space on the private transport and boat.
