Jungle Tour – La Paz to Rurrenabaque

Boat to Rurrenabaque 3 days/2 nights

The only Jungle Tour that starts from La Paz (or Coroico) The only Jungle Tour that will show you all the layers of the Jungle. The only Tour where you’ll be in close contact with the Jungle because you will not only get beautiful guided walks in English in the Rainforest, you will get different scenery from the boat all the time. Camping will be a unique experience at one of those isolated beaches in the middle of nowhere. Waking up very early will never be more rewarding than ever because you will see macaws at the Clay Cliffs.

1^st day.- 05:00 to 05:20. Pick up at your Hotel (Please be punctual) If not we will depart without you Better not to have had a night out full of drinks. Departure 05:30 a.m. (2.5 hrs drive)

07:45 to 08.00 pick up from Coroico’s main Plaza across from the Church. A transfer will be organised by us to take you from Coroico’s Plaza to the main road.

09:00 2 Hrs. drive to Caranavi Lunch 13:30 2.5 hours more driving to the Boat Starting Point

16.30 We get on the boat and head to the Natural Pools (30 min.) then we’ll have 1.5 hrs more on the boat to head to an isolated beach where will camp out and enjoy a camp fire.

2^nd day.- 08:00 Just before breakfast, we’ll go to a Clay Cliff where we’ll be able to see parrots and macaws. Then we will sail downstream for about 3.5 Hrs. Now we are in the upper Rainforest and the Jungle changes and it becomes more and more impressive.

11:30 Side-Walk in the Deep Rainforest. (1.5 hrs) Piranha fishing.

Back on the boat again we’ll have lunch on board. After a while the boat will go through a steep sided Jungle Canyon. After 2 more hrs on the boat we’ll get to the next camp. Here we’ll have another walk in the Deep Rainforest 2.5 hrs

After dinner you’ll have the Amazing Night Walk in the Jungle (1 Hr.)

3^rd day.- 08:00 boat (2 hr), to a point close to Rurrenabaque where we will have our last walk in the amazing lower Deep Rainforest, with superb primary Rainforest, by then you will have seen the upper and lower sections of the Cloud Forest, the upper, intermediate and lower sections of the Rainforest. Believe it or not!

No other tour offers you the chance to see all the stages of the Jungle.

15:00 to 16:00 Arrival at Rurrenabaque.

* Times for departures, meals and activities may vary as they depend on different factors. The guide will tell the group every morning about the day programme.

Set departures every Wednesday. (6 people to leave any other day with 3 days notice)

FOOD?

First lunch is served in a restaurant on the way to the river. We basically provide scrambled eggs with tea, coffee or powdered milk and fruits for breakfast, meat and chicken dishes as well as pasta for lunch and dinner. Veggie option is available.

LUGGAGE ?

-Weight limit is 8 kilos. You can bring a big Bagpack between 2 people.
