Jungle Trek 5 days/4nights
Madidi
Four days of close contact. See the neo tropics first hand, walking through different stages. This is a trek for you to feel extreme conditions on your skin. Camping in the Jungle and by the river, build a shelter in the Jungle, climb up a Canopy tree, fish big fish for an unbelievable experience, this, and much more on a 5 day trek crossing from one river to another. For those wanting to have a closer contact with the Deep Rainforest.
Our local guides will always provide detailed explanations during the walks. English speaking guides available if needed.
PROGRAMME
1st day.- 09:00 Meeting time at our office in Rurrenabaque.
09:30 Departure on dug out canoe (4 hrs upstream the Beni River).
12:30 Lunch - en route. We stop by the riverbanks and get some swim.
15:30 we will arrive at the home of a local and from there start heading on foot to the
place where we will set up the campsite.
17:30 Time to relax in the mosquito nets
20:00 Dinner and 1 hr walk in the dark using torches for just a little. Here you will have the chance to feel first hand the Jungle in the dark.
2nd day.-09:00 2 ½ hours walk.
12:30 Lunch
14:30 2 hrs walk to the place where we will set the campsite. Time to work on your own handicrafts. You will make rings and necklaces from plants and seeds found in the Jungle.
20:30 Dinner and 1 hr walk in the Jungle.
3rd day.- 09:00 2 1/2 hrs walk heading to a beautiful Jungle Lake.
12:30 Lunch
14:30 2 hrs walk towards Hondo River where we will set up the campsite.
19:30 Dinner and 1 hr walk in the Jungle doing exploration along the river
4th day 09:00 On this day you will learn how to climb up a big tree
12:30 Lunch
14;30 In the afternoon you will learn various survival techniques including: building a
shelter in the case you get lost, and learning how to fish.
19:30 Dinner and Night walk.
5th day.- 09:00 1 ½ hours walk.
10:30 Boat back to Rurrenabaque
12:30 Lunch
15:30 Arrival in Rurrenabaque
